Biliaivka (Ukrainian: Біляївка) is a village in Beryslav Raion, Kherson Oblast, southern Ukraine, about 123 kilometres (76 mi) northeast from the centre of Kherson city.
The village came under attack by Russian forces in 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine,[2] and was liberated by Ukrainian forces in the beginning of October.[3]
The settlement had 684 inhabitants in 2001. The native language distribution as of the Ukrainian Census of 2001:[1]
Also, the Russian occupiers kidnapped the resident of the temporarily occupied village of Biliaivka Hennadiy Shapor. His daughter Maria Abakumenko reported this.
In his Tuesday evening address, Mr Zelensky said the villages of Lyubymivka, Khreshchenivka, Zolota Balka, Bilyaivka, Ukrainka, Velyka Oleksandrivka and Mala Oleksandrivka had also been liberated, and that that was "far from being the whole list".
