Joveyn County

Joveyn County (Persian: شهرستان جوین) is in Razavi Khorasan Province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Neqab.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Joveyn District was separated from Sabzevar County in the establishment of Joveyn County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Neqab as its capital and only city at the time.[3]

Demographics

Population

The census in 2011 counted 54,139 people in 15,400 households.[4] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 54,488 in 16,738 households.[2]

After the census, the village of Hokmabad was elevated to the status of a city.[5]
