Mantralayam

Mantralayam temple

Mantralayam is a pilgrim village in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh, India, on the banks of the Tungabhadra River on the border with neighbouring Karnataka state. It is known for being the site of the samadhi of Raghavendra Tirtha, a saint who lived in the 17th century. He is believed to have chosen to be enshrined alive in a meditative state in front of his disciples at the site of the temple.[2] Thousands of people visit the Raghavendra Math and temples on the banks of the river.[3]
