Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury is a Jatiya Party (Ershad) politician and the former Member of Parliament of Chittagong-15. He was the first mayor of Chittagong City Corporation.^[1]

Career

Mahmudul Islam Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate in 1979 Bangladeshi general election^[2] He was elected to parliament from Chittagong-15 as a Jatiya Party candidate in 1986 and 1988.^[3][4]
