List of deputy prime ministers of the United Arab Emirates

The deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates is the deputy of the head of government of the federal government of the United Arab Emirates.[2]

The first deputy prime minister was Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum who took office on 9 December 1971. He left office on 23 December 1973 and was succeeded by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.[3] All deputy prime ministers since Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan have served at part of their with term with at least one deputy. There are currently three deputy prime ministers of the UAE, Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who both took office on 10 May 2009, and Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum who took office on 25 September 2021.[4][5]

The deputy prime ministers are members of the Council of Ministers, which meets once a week in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
