The 2000 United States Senate election in New Mexico took place on November 7, 2000. Incumbent Democrat U.S. Senator Jeff Bingaman won re-election to a fourth term.[1] Bingaman defeated Bill Redmond in a landslide, despite fellow Democrat Al Gore winning New Mexico over Republican nominee George W. Bush by a very narrow margin in the concurrent presidential election.
