Bidhan Ranjan Roy

Bidhan Ranjan Roy (born 1963) is a member of the advisory council of the Bangladesh Interim Government. He served as director of the National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital's department of psychiatry.[1]

Biography

Bidhan attended Government Jubilee High School in Sunamganj and completed his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Dhaka College. He earned his MBBS degree from Sir Salimullah Medical College, Dhaka. Bidhan also served as a professor of psychiatry at Mymensingh Medical College. [2]

On 11 August 2024, Bidhan Ranjan Roy and Supradip Chakma took oath as the advisers of the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered their oath in the Durbar Hall of Bangabhaban.[3]
