Usage
{{Contradicts other|article|here,there|section|date=September 2024}}
All parameters are optional.
Parameters:
- first: The first is an article name; providing this argument adds a link to the article
- second: The second optional parameter specifies which talk page is linked to; provide here to link to the talk page of the article on which the template appears, or provide there to link to the talk page of the article given in the first argument. This will default to "Talk:" namespace; if you need "Wikipedia talk:", etc., use the
talk
parameter below to name the talk page. - third: The third optional parameter is the name of a specific section on the specified talk page.
- fourth: An optional replacement for the word article in reference to the current page, such as section or list. Alternatively,
|section=yes
(or any other value like |section=y
) can be used to change "article" to "section" in particular. - fifth: An optional replacement for the word article in reference to the other page, such as page or Wikipedia policy.
- date: A further optional date parameter may be supplied in the format
date=<month> <year>
. If the date is not included it may be added later by a bot. - talk or discuss: Specify the exact talk page name, with namespace; use this when the talk page is not in the "Talk:" namespace, e.g.
|talk=Wikipedia talk:Consensus
. This prevents |there=
from trying to incorrectly link to something like "Talk:Wikipedia:Consensus".
