Master of the cupbearers

The master of the cupbearers^[1] or master of the cup-bearers^[2] (German: Königliche Oberst-Grossmundschenke,^[3] Hungarian: főpohárnok,^[3] Slovak: pohárnik and Latin: pincernarum regalium magistri or magister pincernarum)^[3][2] was one of the high officials of the royal household in the Kingdom of Hungary.^[2] Masters of the cupbearers were included among the "true barons"^[4] of the realm from around 1220.^[2]
