Klaus Mlynek (born 16 January 1936)[1] is a German historian and scientific archivist, a former director of the City of Hanover Archive,[2][3][4]: 702 and one of the editors and authors of the Hannover City Lexicon, [de ] an encyclopedia of Hanover.[4]
After working at the German Central Archive [de ] and the archive of the German Academy of Sciences at Berlin, both in East Germany, Mlynek was director of the archives of Hanover[5] in West Germany from 1977 until his retirement in 1997.[1] His research focused on aspects of Hanover's urban history.
