1959 Pakistani film
Nagin is a Pakistani fantasy musical film, directed by Khalil Qaiser and was his first Urdu film as a director.[1] It was produced by Wazir Ali under banner Films Hayat.[2] It stars Neelo in the titular role and her first leading role[3] with Rattan Kumar in his first leading role as an adult.[2] It also marked his second appearance in dual role in Pakistani cinema.[4] The supporting cast includes Husna, Yousuf Khan, Nazar and Saqi. Music of the film was composed by Safdar Hussain.[5]
Nagin won a Nigar Award in the category of best director.[6] The film was remade by Hassan Tariq as Naag Aur Nagin in 1976.[2] The film proved to be a breakthrough for Neelo's career.[3][7]

The film was released on 18 June 1950, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha in the cinemas of Karachi.[1][5]
