Amala Shaji

Amala Shaji is an Indian model,[1] Malayali musical artist and social media influencer.[2] She gained prominence through social media platforms, and gained popularity on the platforms[3] Instagram, TikTok, Youtube and Facebook.[4][5] She was one of the rising TikTok stars in India, with over 4.1 million followers in Instagram, over 4 million followers in TikTok and over 7.6 million followers[6] in WhatsApp Channel and majority (89%) of followers are from Tamil Nadu.[7]

Early life

Amala Shaji was born into a Malayali family in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She attended Thiruvananthapuram Public School, Thiruvananthapuram and later began an aviation course at the Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology.

"Scam" controversy

Criticism arose over Amala Shaji's promotion of a money-doubling scheme on Instagram.[8] The influencer encouraged followers to message her friend's account, claiming to have personally profited from sending money there with the promise of a high return. Critics allege this promotion amounted to a scam.
